Our mission
Kindred Space was created to make psychiatric and behavioral healthcare feel more supportive, engaging, and human.
The platform provides patients with therapeutic tools while giving hospitals secure workflows that improve organization and communication.
For patients
During their stay, patients can use tools such as:

- Art Studio
- Music
- Grounding exercises
- Hope Box
- Letters
- Goals
- Mood check-ins
- Personalized therapeutic resources
Patients only have access to their own information. Nothing from another patient's account is ever visible.
For clinical staff
Staff use Kindred Space to:
- Assign shared devices
- Support patients
- Review patient requests
- Manage approved music
- Coordinate care
- View operational information based on their permissions
Private patient content — such as journal entries and artwork — remains protected. Staff see that a patient is using a tool, not the private content inside it, unless a patient chooses to share it.
For hospital administrators
Administrators can:
- Manage staff accounts
- Manage permissions
- Manage hospital settings
- Manage shared devices
- Configure music integrations
- Review operational reports
- Configure hospital-wide settings
Privacy and security
Kindred Space is designed with patient privacy in mind.
- • Each patient only has access to their own account.
- • Hospitals manage their own users.
- • Hospitals cannot access another hospital's data.
- • Private patient content remains protected according to assigned permissions.
Kindred Space is designed to support and enhance clinical care. It is not intended to replace healthcare professionals or emergency procedures.
